The Challenge

To reform the Indigenous Procurement Policy (IPP) through national public consultations to inform the future procurement framework and design, considering the Procurement Connected Policy.

What we did

Gurugun designed and executed a consultation model, engaging with over 400 stakeholders across government and business sectors, despite a tight schedule directed by ministerial commitments.

The outcome

The consultations concluded successfully with positive feedback, and the final report was submitted to the client for review, consideration and public release. 

The Challenge

The project aimed to assess the effectiveness of the 2023 changes to the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, focusing on First Nations’ business, Small to Medium Enterprises (SME), and women’s businesses in Commonwealth procurement, to provide recommendations for enhancing opportunities within existing policy frameworks.

What we did

Gurugun developed a consultation plan and a mixed-methods approach to evaluate SME and Indigenous business participation in Commonwealth procurement. This involved co-designing user-centric questions, conducting consultations, analysing feedback, and formulating balanced recommendations.

The outcome

The final report, enriched with strategic insights and policy-aligned recommendations, has been advanced through relevant Ministers by the client.

The Challenge

Our client aimed to identify its current performance and readiness for change to implement a new strategic direction, including leadership assessment, development, and conflict coaching.

What we did

Gurugun applied best practices in organisational design and leadership, conducting holistic assessments and providing change leadership coaching to the CEO, which led to the development of a new organisational structure and processes.

The outcome

The client has successfully embarked on a redesign journey, refreshed its strategic roadmap, and committed to building a culture of strong leadership, resulting in improved staff engagement and performance.
