The Challenge

A government department sought to uplift its workforce capacity and capability through strategic workforce planning and professionalisation.

What we did

Employing the ADDIE approach, we undertook qualitative and quantitative workforce and learning analyses. Our approach was informed by working closely with the client’s HR, strategic communications, and policy specialists. We provided strategic advice and an implementation plan to mitigate workforce risks, including clear role descriptions and succession planning initiatives.

The outcome

The analyses revealed an unaddressed risk, leading to strategies that mitigated this risk and met the client’s objectives. The implementation of these strategies is expected to result in a more capable and available workforce, contributing positively to the acquisition and sustainment of fit-for-purpose capability.
